How We Got There

Andy had been a patient in my practice for a long time. He gradually became aware of what I was offering and inquired about the possibilities of making him feel better about his smile. He had been born missing both of his eye teeth. As a young person, he had gone through orthodontics to move all of the rest of the teeth up next to his two front teeth.
We decided to take a conservative approach and go back to orthodontics, moving his teeth back so he could have the advantage of eye teeth for the first time in his life. The photo above shows how we opened up spaces to accommodate a double bridge. (Another option easily applicable here would have been to place two implants.) This process allowed Andy's smile a broader arch, showing more teeth in his smile, which always opens up the face. I did a gum lift with the laser followed by the placement of non-metal dental bridges and ceramic veneers on the remaining upper ten front teeth.
What a transformation! By using advanced technological materials and aesthetic soft tissue design, Andy went home with a very natural result. His wife laughs and says, "I have a new man living in my home!"
