Anthea's Reaction
"I advise my clients that 'a great outfit is something you wear, not something that wears you.'
Not only do I love my new smile, I count my blessings for a life minus the painful TMD symptoms I had experienced until I met Dr. Klim.
Now, this is how I like to wear my life!"

How We Got There

Anthea has longed for a smile makeover for some time. She has an eye for fashion. She coaches others to look their best. She was aware that her own smile was holding her back. She sought out Dr. Klim to see what he could do to solve several concerns. Upon completing her exam, Dr. Klim discovered her tension headaches and neck pain could be related to her age-related bite developments.
As Dr. Klim explained, "with the wear and tear that takes place over time, worn-down teeth can reposition the lower jaw causing muscle tension. Once the jaw repositions, this can affect on how one holds their head which leads to spinal misalignments and strain of jaw, head, and neck muscles."
Featured on KTVU Channel 2!
Bob MacKenzie of KTVU Channel 2 in San Francisco featured Dr. James Klim to present the latest in aesthetic reconstructive dentistry. Bob featured an aesthetic rehabilitation case study on the award winning Segment Two. The patient for this case study was Anthea Tolomei, a fashion consultant at the Claremont Resort & Spa in Berkeley, California. |
As this situation progresses, people pick up the tensions that often goes along with TMJ. This condition can have an accelerated result on the appearance of aging of the face. This featured case demonstrates that cosmetic dentistry is about more than teeth. It is also recapturing the ideal length of our face and making sure the facial, jaw and neck muscles are happy with the bite.
To make a long story short, Anthea now has her new dream smile. But along with her new look, she feels better. The head and neck pain has disappeared. This was accomplished by rebuilding her bite into a neuromuscular balance. This is like saying, "recapturing her youth." Along with her relief in head and neck pain, is the release of the ringing in her ears. This was accomplished by decompressing her jaw joints while reposturing her bite.
Anthea feels like a new woman. And as you can see by her photos, she looks like a new woman as well.
